چکیده
Background and objective: Different molecular alterations have been described in the pathogenesis of endometrial carcinoma, among themis mutation PTEN (phosphatase tension homolog), a tumor suppressor gene. This study aimed to detect immunoexpression carcinoma asses association between with clinicopathological parameters. Methods: cross-sectional retrospective was carried out January 2016-December 2021 Erbil city. A total 112 formalin fixed, paraffin embedded, archival tissue blocks abdominal hysterectomy samples were collected Erbilcity. The characteristics tumors revised, specimens analyzed immunohistochemically using monoclonal antibody clone 6H2.1 (Dako. Results: Seventy- seven cases (68.8%) labeled as negative for immunoexpression. While 35 (31.2%) positive significantly associated histological types (P = 0.001), while no significant found other Conclusion: Loss frequently seen endometrioid type than is carcinoma.

Background: Endometrial carcinoma is the most common malignancy of the female genital tract. Different molecular alterations have been described in endometrioid endometrial carcinoma that, the most frequently altered gene is mutations of PTEN. Up to 50-83% of endometrioid carcinoma reveal altered PTEN characterized by loss of expression. In endometrial hyperplasia, which are precursors of endom...
متن کاملPrognostic significance and diagnostic value of PTEN and p53 expression in endometrial carcinoma. A retrospective clinicopathological and immunohistochemical study.
PURPOSE To investigate the PTEN and p53 gene expression in endometrioid and serous papillary endometrial carcinomas and clarify their prognostic significance by studying the PTEN and p53 expression in relation to tumor stage and grade. METHODS Archival pathological sections of 61 cases with endometrial cancer examined in a 5-year-period (January 2006-December 2010) were retrieved and re-exami...
متن کاملPhosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) expression on oncologic outcome in renal cell carcinoma: A systematic review and meta-analysis
The phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) gene is suggested to be a dormant tumor suppressor. However, the prognostic value of the loss of PTEN expression in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remains controversial. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the association of PTEN expression with the clinicopathological presentations and outcomes of patients with RCC through immunohistochemis...
متن کاملConservative Medroxyprogesterone Acetate Therapy in Early Stage of Endometrial Carcinoma Associated with Phosphatase and Tensin Homolog Expression
Young patients with the endometrial cancer IA who desire to preserve fertility, can select the conservative therapy with progestin. However, the therapy involves risks of progression and relapse. We examined immunohistochemical analyses of phosphatase and tension homolog (PTEN) and p53 expressions to predict the early relapse, and pregnancy and delivery. Twenty women with endometrial cancer, FI...
متن کاملPTEN expression in endometrial biopsies as a marker of progression to endometrial carcinoma.
Inactivation of PTEN tumor suppressor gene is common in endometrial carcinoma and its precursor, atypical endometrial hyperplasia (EH). We compared PTEN expression via immunohistochemistry in endometrial biopsies diagnosed as EH in 138 cases, who were diagnosed with EH and then endometrial carcinoma at least 1 year later (median, 6 years), and 241 individually matched controls, who were diagnos...
